Software for diamond jewelers, stone by stone

A diamond piece is two products in one: metal priced by the gram and stones priced by the carat. Smart Jewelry POS keeps both exact, stone by stone, from the supplier’s delivery to the customer’s invoice.

Diamond jewelry software records each stone in a piece separately from its metal. Smart Jewelry POS stores every stone’s type, pieces, carat or gram weight and rate, deducts the stone weight from the gold, prices the gold at the day’s karat rate, and keeps stone values in their own currency.

Dollar diamonds

Keep a diamond’s price in USD; estimate it on the bill at your stored exchange rate.

Consignment

Display a supplier’s diamond pieces and owe only for what sells.

Metal still by weight

The gold in the piece follows today’s rate, while the stones keep their price.

Questions

Diamond jewelry software FAQ

What does diamond jewelry POS software need to do?

Record every stone on a piece with its type, pieces, carat weight and price, take the stones’ weight off the metal, price the metal from the day’s rate, and show the stone value on tags, invoices and stock reports. Smart Jewelry POS does all of this per stone line.

Can a diamond be priced in US dollars?

Yes. Each stone can carry its own currency. On the bill it can be estimated at your stored exchange rate, and a supplier who provided it is owed in that currency.

Can I see my total carats in stock?

The Stones Inventory report totals carats and grams in current stock by stone type, with precious stones first and foreign-currency values kept in their own currency.

Can I hold a supplier’s diamond pieces on consignment?

Yes. Mark the intake line as consignment. You owe the supplier only when the piece sells, and settle sold pieces in a batch.
